ABSTRACT:  This thesis entitled "Governments' Responses to the Demands fro Restitution: The cases of the South Korean and Filipino Comfort Women" describes how the comfort women issue emerged in South Korea and the Philippines. It also discusses international convention and laws that defines military civilian abuse including sexual slavery as crime against humanity. Lastly, using the concept of Restitution, it compares and contrasts the different responses of the two governments regarding the comfort women issue.
