ABSTRACT:  The thesis is entitled, An Analysis on the Influence of the Continued Containment Policy on the Prospects of Reunification in North and South Korea. The researchers discussed the post War Security System in particular the United States Containment Policy and how it affects the relations of countries in the international scenario, particularly aimed at the formed Nexus in the East Asian region (US-Japan-South Korea). The discussion centered on the US-Japan-South Korea nexus and how it serves as either hindrance or opportunity for the reunification of North and South Korea. For added support in the researchers assumptions, treaties, documents, speeches and statements of notable individuals were presented. In relation, the researchers analyzed how such factors affect the security, peace and stability in the East Asian Region and in particular its relation to the unification of North and South Korea. With the present status quo, the world is in need of a world security framework and global order. Our paper described, examined and analyzed how this would help facilitate peace and stability in the region in general and affect the prospects for Reunification in North and South Korea in particular. In addition, it analyzed the United States post cold war security policy and how it is a continuation of the Post-Cold war security policy.
