ABSTRACT:  This is study is entitled "BANAHAW: AN ECOLOGICAL AND SPIRITUAL; JOURNEY" deals with the connection between the spirituality and the ecolological consciousness of the residents and pilgrims of Mount Banahaw. The general objective of the study is to present a video documentary that will identify the connection between the spirituality of the people (pilgrims, visitors, and residents of Mt. Banahaw) and their ecological consciousness. In pursuant of this objective, the study aims to find out the ecological condition of Mt. Banahaw. It also aims to determine the different spiritual beliefs and practices of the pilgrims, visitors, and residents of the mountain as well as their ecological consciousness. The study also aims to determine and evaluate the connection between the spirituality and the ecological consciousness of the residents and pilgrims of Mount Banahaw. This is a documentary film that presents the different spiritual beliefs and practices of the people in Mount Banahaw. It also focuses on the different environmental destructions presently happening in the mountain. This documentary film also covered the spirituality in relation to the ecolological consciousness of the people residing and visiting Mount Banahaw. We made use of both primary and secondary data in the production. We did participant observations and interviews as our methods of research. Interviews were conducted among the residents and pilgrims of Mount Banahaw. We used qualitative or descriptive in accomplishing our objectives. The findings showed that there seems a weak connection between the spirituality of the people in Mount Banahaw and their ecological consciousness. We have seen that there are tons of garbage and piles of trash at the foothills and at the higher part of the mountain. These non biodegradable materials are left by visitors and pilgrims on their way to the peak. Many of the residents have cultivated the mountain for vegetable farming using Kaingin system. They also use soap and shampoo when bathing in the rivers and springs of the mountain inspite of the signboards prohibiting such practice. We therefore, recommend that our environmental practices must go along with our concept of spirituality, and that spirituality is not only love and respect for God and for one's neighbor, but also for one's natural environment.
