Summary: Kappa malong-malong - a hundred and one different uses of the malong, a tubular garment, depending on the mood and the occasion
Summary: Asik - reminiscent of Persian markets, the Asik is a slave dance of the classic type. In Muslim Philippines, this dance is usually performed by the lady-in-waiting to the daughter of the Sultan
Summary: Singkil - based on the Darangan, the Mindanao epic, the dance revolves around the amorous exploits of a prince, who finally falls in love with a lovely princess. It starts with the entrance of the princess trailed by an umbrella-earing attendant. She weaves in with three sets of crossed bamboo poles clapped in synchopated rhythm. The dance reaches a dramatic climax when she is joined by court ladies, distinguished by their great fans, by warriors and the datu or prince
