How am I doing?

The article discusses feedback in education, with particular focus given to characteristics of effective feedback. The assertion that good feedback requires students to think about their work, is presented while students can still act on it, and addresses incomplete understanding of topics is examined, and the caution to avoid too much guidance is offered. The argument that feedback is only useful is learning on the topic is already in place is also presented, and the role of practice is commented on.
