Unnatural selection

The article discusses the emergence of sex-selective abortion in the U.S., the consequence of growing gender gap in Asia. According to the author, the imbalance in the population of men and women in India is the result of gender discrimination and local practices. She adds that the shortage of women in Asia is one of the main cause of sex trafficking in China. She also mentions the growing gender disappointment among Americans for not getting the gender they want for their children. Ethical issues of sex selection are discussed.
